Milwaukee among the Cheapest Cities in United States to Rent a Car

“Individuals who need to rent a car in the United States will find some of the best bargains in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Car rental states in the Brew City are among of the lowest in the country, according to a recent survey compiled by CheapCarRental.net. Using the time period of November 2011 to February 2012 as the basis for its comparison, the survey examined daily car rental rates in 30 U.S. cities.
When the results were tabulated, Milwaukee came in last place out of the 30 cities that were ranked. The city's average per-day rate of $26 for the cheapest available car positioned it as the most affordable city surveyed. In contrast, Miami, Florida, snagged the number one spot. At $84 per day, on average, it earns the distinction as the most expensive car rental city, charging 223% more than Milwaukee.
Honolulu, Hawaii, came in a close second with an average daily rate of $75. Not far behind was New York City. In the Big Apple, renting a car will set visitors back $70 per day. This figure placed NYC number three in the ranking.
The following table shows daily car rental rates of all 30 cities considered in the survey. The prices shown coincide with the average daily rate for the cheapest available car in the city.

About the methodology:
The car rental rates were established via CarTrawler, a car rental comparions solution. For 30 destinations in the USA, the average daily rate for the cheapest available car from November 15 to February 15 was calculated. For each city, the respective airport was chosen as the Pick up and Drop off location.
