McCarran International Airport is located about five miles south of downtown Las Vegas. Many hotels on the Las Vegas Strip offer free shuttles. You can also look for shuttles and taxis at the airport. To rent a car, take the airport shuttle to the car rental center located three miles away. From there, take I-15 N followed by exit 38 to Flamingo Road. You’ll reach the Las Vegas Strip after less than half a mile. Bus travel generally isn’t recommended since it won’t take you directly to the strip or downtown, but CAT bus routes 108 and 109 do stop at the airport.
